This workshop will explore the principles of combat within close quarter range utilizing both empty hand tactics and knife combatives, including armed and unarmed defenses against armed and unarmed opponents. Combat theory, body mechanics, anatomy/targeting and principles of offense and defense will all be covered. The focus of this class will be on real world tactics to various situations, as well as understanding on how to asses and develop practical responsive techniques for a variety of real world scenarios. This course draws from a variety of martial arts as well as CQC techniques used by various military and law enforcement agencies.
The workshop will end with a discussion of the realities of combatative situations discussing the psychological and physical stresses of a real life scenario. This discussion will be held in a question and answer type of format.
